Infiniti Q50 and Q60 engine guide covering the VQ37VHR 3.7 and VR30DDTT 3.0T

Which Engine Is in My Infiniti Q50 or Q60? VQ37VHR vs VR30DDTT Parts Guide

"Q50" and "Q60" cover more than one engine, and ported intake parts are engine-specific. A VQ37VHR plenum won't bolt to a VR30DDTT, and the reverse is also true. Before you order, confirm which engine your car has.

How to tell which engine you have

  • Look at the badge and paperwork. The model year and trim on your registration or window sticker (3.7, 3.0t, Red Sport 400) settle it in most cases.
  • Open the hood. The VR30DDTT is a twin-turbo engine, so you'll see charge piping running to two throttle bodies. The VQ37VHR has a naturally aspirated intake with no intercooler piping.
  • Still unsure? Send us your VIN or a photo of the engine bay and we'll confirm before you buy.

VQ37VHR (2014–2015 Q50 3.7 and Q60)

The 3.7 is the same engine family as the 370Z and G37. It shares our ported intake parts with those cars:

For a deeper look at this engine, see our VQ35DE vs VQ35HR vs VQ37VHR guide.

VR30DDTT (2016+ Q50 3.0T and 2017+ Q60 3.0T)

The VR30DDTT makes 300 hp stock, or 400 hp in Red Sport 400 form. It's a different engine design from the VQ, with its own intake parts:

The 3.0T manifold and plenum are plastic, so we port them and leave the factory finish. Only the throttle bodies are ceramic painted. More detail is in our VR30DDTT manifold and plenum guide and our Red Sport 400 throttle body guide.

Need help?

Every ported part is made to order and usually ships in 2–3 weeks. If you're not sure what fits, ask a VQ expert before you order.
