Everyone wants to know if porting is "worth it." It's a fair question, and we'll try to answer it straight.
What porting does
The factory plenum and manifold are cast parts, and castings have rough surfaces, sharp edges, and uneven transitions inside. Porting means reshaping and smoothing those internal surfaces so air moves through with less restriction. Our ported parts are also polished and, in some cases, ceramic coated.
What it doesn't do
Porting alone isn't a magic bullet. Intake parts work as part of a system. Gains depend on the rest of the setup: your exhaust, your tune, whether you're naturally aspirated or boosted, and your RPM range. A ported plenum on an otherwise stock car won't feel like a different car.
Who it's for
- People already modifying their VQ and chasing the next bit of airflow
- Builds that spend time at higher RPM
- Owners who want the engine bay to look as good as the car runs, since a polished, coated plenum is a visual upgrade too
What we won't do
We won't throw out a big horsepower number we can't back up.
