If you own a 2003-2004 Infiniti G35, there's a good chance your center clock bezel has seen better days. Sun fading, cracks, and missing pieces are common on dashes this age, and a clean used bezel isn't always easy to find. At Initiate Motorsports, we make two replacements: a 3D printed bezel and a bezel skinned in genuine forged carbon fiber.
What's the difference?
Both are made for the center clock location on 2003-2004 G35 models, and both weigh about the same as the factory bezel. The difference is the finish.
The 3D printed bezel is a clean, factory-style replacement. It's the practical choice if your goal is to fix a damaged or missing bezel. [link: 3D printed clock bezel]
The forged carbon fiber bezel is a 3D printed part skinned with real forged carbon fiber, not a vinyl wrap or printed overlay. Forged carbon has a marbled, random pattern that's different from the traditional woven look, so every bezel is unique. [link: forged carbon fiber clock bezel]
What to know about forged carbon
Forged carbon looks great, but it's a natural material with a random pattern, and small imperfections are common. That's part of what makes each piece one of a kind. We can also add colored flake to the forged carbon for an extra cost.
Installation tips
Installing either bezel is simple, but there are two things to know:
- Reuse your OE clips. The metal clips on the back of your factory bezel can be transferred to ours. The part fits tightly, so you often won't need them, but they're a good idea for a secure install.
- The immobilizer light. On the forged carbon version, the skinning process covers the immobilizer light. You can drill a small hole to keep it visible, or leave it covered. It will cause no issues if it remains unplugged.
Which one should you choose?
If you just need a clean replacement, go with the 3D printed bezel. If you want your interior to stand out, the forged carbon bezel is a simple upgrade that makes a visible difference.
